Bhala Hua Mori Mala Tutti...

Being a melophile I spend most of my time listening to music. It doesn’t matter what I am doing or where I am going one thing is mandatory i.e., earphones with loud music. To be honest I spend almost 16 hours listing to music. Therefore, I have lots of songs that I can hear on a loop and love them. But there is always one song that has no match to it. For me, that song is “Bhala Hua Mori Mala Tooti” by Kabir Cafe. By the name of the song, you must be thinking that it’s about God and is some kind of bhajan. Ummm yes, you are right it’s about God but it is different from other bhajans. I am not a person who blindly believes in God but at the same time, I don’t deny their existence. Even science also accepts the existence of God. I am a person who may not go to temples regularly or does pooja daily but that does not mean that I don’t take their name daily. At the same time, I don’t believe in showing off the fact I do pooja and believe in God by taking their names and reciting the mantras 24/7 even though my mind is somewhere else. That’s why many people around me think that I am an atheist.
O,k let’s stop here on my philosophy on God and belief because it is already a very controversial topic nowadays. “Bhala Hua Mori Mala Tooti” by Kabir Cafe is my fav song because it has the same meaning as I have been talking till now. This song is based on the ideology of the great saint Kabir Das. This song speaks about the fact that it’s not important to do pooja and bhajans every day to show that you believe in God. It’s completely fine if you do these things occasionally but with a pure heart and mind.
Let me tell you guys how I came across this song. One day I was just listening to a random playlist of daily mix on Spotify and there I heard this song for the first time. I guess I got connected to this song very easily because the lyrics and the meaning resonated with my belief about gods. The music of the song is very soft and at the same time very addictive. Which made me hear this song on a loop for hours. The lyrics were pure and true same as the music. This song has many verses of the poet Kabir Das in it. In this song, they compare today’s world with the world our saints imagined in the past.
There’s a part in this song that I am pinning down here….
“Toh humari pyaari janta abhi tak toh mai Kabir gaa rhe the
Ab jo aage gaane wala hu who ajj ki baat batata hu sehero mai kya chal rha hai
Apne joh sehar jaise Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai, Calcutta, Bangalore…iss sehero mai log kaise jee rhe hai…..
Waise bani boliye jamke jhagda hoye, Aishi bani boliyeo jamke jhagda hoye
Par use naah boliyo bhai, par use naah boliye bhai
Jo apse tagda hoye…..”
This para is my personal favorite. It makes us realize the truth of today’s world. How everyone ready to fight with the one who has no power in this world and never fight with those who is wrong and don't take stand for themselves because they are powerful. Now I won’t say anything because I have already said a lot. I will conclude by saying that everything is okay but never forgets your roots and always stay connected to it. I also recommend you this song “Bhala Hua Mori Mala Toti” by Kabir Cafe and one more song which is also my personal favorite song “Bhala” by Vinay Katoch ft. Vineet Katoch.
